1 John 1:1-10
Who is Jesus?
Matthew 16, John 20:30-31
Jesus is Christ, Son of the living God
Who do YOU say I am?
How we act, react, speak, and think is all affected by our answer to this question.
How we live as a spouse, parent, neighbour, employer or employee, participant in the church family
John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us
John 20:27 - doubting Thomas
The disciples saw, heard, touched, tasted, and smelled the life of Jesus - they experienced it and testify to walking with the Word, and are certain of the relationship they have with God through Christ.
John and others write to share the truth of who Jesus is, so their joy can be complete. John knows Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah.
1 John 1:5-10 - God is Light in darkness
As we seek God's will we can have true relationship with Christ and each other.
To not walk in darkness, or to walk in Light, includes confession of our sins to be made clean, and obedience to God.
As one being drawn to God, and as a professed believer, we need to know our answer to the question, Who is Jesus?
Do you walk in darkness or in Light?
Do your words and actions and attitudes line up with your answer about Jesus?
Are you willing to share your testimony (what you believe about Jesus), so you have complete joy?
John 14:12 - He who believes in Jesus and His works (of salvation) will also do greater works.
