by a local graphic artist, Ellen Ostero, when the church began as Taylor Community Church.
The T in Taylor became a cross, signifying our faith in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus for salvation.
When the church name was changed to Peace Community Church, the decision was made to keep the logo unchanged. The cross embodies the Giver of Peace, so still represents the faith of our church.
"You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all." - Acts 10:36 (NIV)
The twin C's, representing the Community Church part of our name, are symbolic of the Taylor bridge across the Peace River, and the Bridge of Salvation offered to everyone.
At Peace Community Church, we believe Jesus Christ is the way to being in communion with God - Jesus bridges the gap for us.
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life." - John 3:16 (GNT)
